Team/Function Overview
- The Financial Resources Management (FRM) team is positioned within the new Client organization, thereby playing an important role in execution of a firm-wide client & business strategy.
- FRM provides in-business leadership on capital and liquidity management and efficiency across all global businesses.
- The team exists to solve complex problems, concentrating on risk & capital optimization opportunities and driving the business capital strategy for the firm.
Role / Position Overview
- The role will focus on determining and executing the most efficient trades across the firm to recycle capital to pursue growth of core businesses.
- As the most global bank in the world, distribution of capital to legal entities across various countries is also a key part of our role.
- Close partnership with all businesses will be critical, including Services, Banking and Markets franchises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identification of key hedging and restructuring opportunities across the firm
- Partnership with key businesses to structure, restructure and hedge business activities to solve for capital constraints
- Driving solutions to create capital capacity, requiring at a minimum, familiarity with basic hedging products e.g. Guarantees, CDS, SBLCs, etc. and familiarity with loans, derivatives and SFT instruments.
- Working with sales teams and/or directly with 3rd parties to price and execute the most efficient strategies
- Build out long term capital management strategy for Citi closely integrated with planning cycle and outlook

Knowledge/Experience:
- Relevant experience of 3-5 years in the Financial Services industry, preferably at a comparable bank
- Sound knowledge of derivatives & secured financing transactions and associated risks
- Familiarity with CRR and/or US Basel Rules which dictate the Banks capital requirements
Skills:
- Ability to solve complex financial problems
- Ability to design and drive solutions to execution, sometimes involving numerous functions and businesses
- Team player with the ability to partner easily with multiple businesses and engage competently with business heads
Excellent analytical and communication skills, supporting the strategic nature of the role
Qualifications:
Preferred Master’s degree and significant qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Math, Financial Engineering, Physics or related field.
