As a, you will use your product management and business analytical skills to work on process efficiencies, drive actionable insights across our product and service portfolio, and identify and resolve critical problems for our stakeholders. You will bring a variety of perspectives to our portfolio and investment plans as well as identify and tackle cross-group challenges with clearly identified outcomes and plans.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience in a product/project/business/program management role
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience working in a hardware/software engineering organization focused on notebooks, laptops, Devices and device solutions, PC, hardware, cloud and/or software related solutions
  • 2+ years hands on experience managing internal budgeting systems for engineering organizations (including statement of work (SOW), purchase order (PO) management), leading forecasting and close activities, and actuals reconciliation
  • Experience partnering with finance operations, procurement, business management, finance, engineering functions and proficiency in using mercury, excel, powerpoint

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years experience in a product/project/business/program management role
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 4+ years experience working in a hardware/software engineering organization focused on notebooks, laptops, Devices and device solutions, PC, hardware, cloud and/or software related solutions.
  • 4+ years hands on experience managing internal budgeting systems (including statement of work (SOW), purchase order (PO) creation and management), leading forecasting and close activities, and actuals reconciliation
  • Experience in large scale change management and a track record of effective executive communication
  • Proficiency using myorder, Risk Indicator Metrics (RIM), MSInvoice, ActiveX Data Objects (ADO)

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of Development Cost and Operating Expenses (OPEX) and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) spend.
  • Identify opportunities to develop new programs and improve current ones with minimal guidance.
  • Collaborate with others to identify root problems (e.g., root-cause analysis), define strategy, gather requirements, identify resource needs, create the project plan and targets, and work across teams to align on the plan of record.
  • Begin to improve operations of existing programs by applying industry methodology, defining program issues, assessing various scenarios, and selecting the optimal scenario to resolve issues.
  • Drive clarity in program issues and strives for simplification.
  • Work directly and build relationships with stakeholders in engineering, program management, data science, finance, and business operations to drive investment plans, manage risks/mitigations and lead change management.
  • Update the Surface Dev Leadership Team on status, trends, and recommendations as part of our Rhythm of Business (ROB).
  • Facilitate communication channels to keep teams informed about changes, address concerns, and gather feedback.
