EY is currently looking for a driven workplace services professional who enjoys working with outstanding internal support teams as a Hospitality Coordinator. In this role you will be providing support for corporate meetings and events while working in tandem with your Workplace Services colleagues.
Hospitality
- Hospitality services : Setting up meeting space, laying out food & beverages, resetting meeting space and maintaining & replenishing meeting room supplies.
- Relationships : Develop and maintain relationships with various outside vendors and internal clients.
- Innovate : Continually strive for innovative solutions to established processes & procedures.
- Facility upkeep : Maintaining kitchens & vending machines, including replenishing stock as necessary and making service calls for equipment & appliances.
Workplace Services
- Reception coverage : Provide relief at reception for breaks, lunches, other times away.
- Technology support : Liaising closely with the technology team to provide some technical service support for meetings/events.
- Facility maintenance : Coordinating office/furniture repairs
- Mail/Courier: sorting , distributing documents & packages, as well as preparing documents & packages for delivery
- Equipment management : Understand and operate office equipment, place service calls as needed
Administrative
- Planning & preparation : Reviewing upcoming logistical matters for meetings and events, identifying and resolving potential challenges, working with internal clients to determine appropriate catering needs and ordering same from outside vendors.
- Invoice processing : Preparing catering & supply invoices for payment.
- Records management : Electronic filing & archiving
- Supply provisioning & inventory control : Ordering, maintaining & distributing office supplies
Overtime required as needed.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to resolve conflict and handle difficult situations.
- Proficient in MS Office and demonstrated aptitude to learn customized firm software/tools.
- Aptitude to differentiate when to act independently or team with others.
- Committed to contributing to a strong team culture to ensure success.
- Ability to meet multiple and/or unexpected deadlines in a demanding environment.
- Develop and maintain relationships to efficiently leverage expertise.
- Demonstrate sound judgement regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
- High standard for cleanliness.
- Physical strength for significant walking, climbing stairs, ability to lift 25+ lbs.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Exceptional client service experience is a must.
- Hospitality & event planning experience is an asset.
- Smart Serve Certificate also an asset.
- Post-secondary education (preferred).

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $37,600 to $56,400. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
