You will be part of the Venmo design team across all end-to-end experiencesglobally and work closely with your product and engineering partnersto inform anddrive the strategy and roadmap. You will work with other leaders and cross-functional team members to build and deliver the best possible experiences across all aspects of commerce from discovery to post-purchase experiences.
Job responsibilities:
- Leads UX efforts within a cross-functional team, including strategic Influence on product direction, planning, participating in delivery, presenting effectively to stakeholders up to executive level.
 - Collaborates with senior leaders and stakeholders to align design goals with business objectives.
 - Leads a team of designers, championing best practices in process and methodology to deliver against business KPIs and customer needs.
 - Coaches the usage of an established design system, style guides, patterns and assets in the creation of UX deliverables.
 - Manages workflow, intake, and design resourcing effectively, responding to business needs and priorities.
 - Find and develop world class design talent and effectively coach and grow designers.
 - Actively contributes to the wider design community, leveraging strengths to help others develop and learn, while fostering a culture of innovation and creativity within the design organization.
 - Partners with design, engineering, design systems and product management team members in the execution and delivery of Venmo’s products and services, using a customer-focused, iterative design process.
 - Creates high-quality deliverables and executes based on product design goals and priorities without prescriptive guidance or direction, managing their work to a more extensive schedule.
 - Leverages and extends the use ofestablished productdesign techniques,templates, presentations andassets in the creation of productdesign analysis, solutions andmaterials.
 - Contributes to the adaptation of Venmo productdesign tools, methodology andsoftware, and proposes newsolutions or optimizes existingones.
 - Creates opportunities to foster collaborative cross-discipline dynamics. Drives product design team delivery excellence, furthering influence to achieve product design goals.
 
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in product design, with at least 3 in management, and a substantial focus on fintech and/or digital commerce.
 - Bachelors or Master Degree in the study of design including one of the following; Design, Information Architecture, Human Factors, or equivalent project/portfolio experience.
 - A portfolio of work, showcasing significant contributions in delivering strategic business outcomes, and a high bar for design excellence.
 - Extensive leadership and strategic planning experience. Deep expertise in UX/UI design, interaction design, and design thinking.
 - Customer-focused, with experience using design research methods to uncover customer insights.
 
- Proven track record of managing large, complex design projects.
 - Advanced proficiency with design tools and methodologies.
 - Thorough knowledge of essential channels and platforms, with experience in mobile, dedicated, web and native solution design.
 - Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
 - Experience with agile development methodologies and managing design in an agile environment.
