What you'll do
As the leader of SCM Design, Operate & Service, your responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic leadership to Product and Engineering teams, offering guidance and mentorship.
- Own the SCM Design & Operate portfolio, including SAP APM, SAP FSM, and SAP IPD, transforming customer problems into product solutions through product discovery, wireframes, prototypes, and delivering effective business outcomes.
- Engage with customers, partners, analysts and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle to ensure alignment with their needs and market requirements.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, translating insights into actionable product strategies.
- Focus on customer adoption and satisfaction at every stage, monitor and analyze product performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimize product offerings and drive revenue growth.
- Take ownership of the product roadmap by prioritizing features and capabilities based on customer feedback, market demands, and business objectives.
- Lead a highly efficient global engineering organization, driving innovation and delivery excellence. Ensure scalability, engineering expertise, best practices, continuous learning, and successful execution of the product strategy to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
- Balance the priorities of functional product innovations as desired by customers and partners versus quality improvements and non-functional requirements to achieve high-scale and high-availability operations in the Cloud.
- Establish a leadership model to continuously improve development, support, and cloud operations processes to increase productivity.
- Build an empowering culture for engineering teams with transparent guardrails and goals, making visible the key contributors to the organization's success and identifying areas needing improvement.
- Ensure alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customer executives and the SAP executive board, working closely with the executive leadership team to define and execute the overall business strategy, ensuring that product management and engineering functions are aligned with the company's vision.
- Possess exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to handle conflicting demands, along with highly refined written communication and oral presentation skills, particularly for senior executive and board-level communication.
What you bringProfessional with an academic background in Computer Science, Business, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree, MBA, or related advanced degree is advantageous.
- Experience in Product Management and/or Engineering leadership roles for SaaS enterprise software solution providers.
- Strong knowledge in Asset Management and/or PLM processes and solutions or related fields.
- Experience in developing and executing product strategies that lead to revenue growth and market share increase.
- Leadership and team management skills, capable of motivating and directing diverse groups, evidenced by high leadership trust and employee engagement scores.
- International experience that demonstrates effective communication with multicultural teams.
- Communication and presentation skills in English, including C-Level communication, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven decision-making approach.
- Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Adaptability to fast-paced and dynamic environments, with the capacity to adjust to shifting priorities.
- Leadership qualities include trustworthiness, empowerment, clarity, reliability, accountability, and execution-focused.
Work Experience:
- Over 15 years of experience in Product Engineering or Product Management, focusing on Supply Chain SaaS applications, especially Asset Management, Field Service Management, and PLM.
