Technology Early Internship Program - Summer 2025

Key Role Details

• This is a full-time paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2025.

• Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One’s, for the duration of the program.

• Upon successful completion of the Tech Early Internship, interns may be eligible for other career opportunities at Capital One.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an expectation that your degree will be obtained by August 2027 or earlier

• Completed sophomore or 2nd year of coursework by program start date (for example: sophomore year of bachelor's program completed by program start date OR qualifies, at minimum, as a 2nd year student in a bachelor's degree program)

• Must be continuing in the same course of study of your Bachelor’s degree following completion of the internship

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a major or prospective major in a technical or quantitative discipline, including computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, mathematics, or other STEM major

• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and conceptual skills

• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills

• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career as a software engineer through activities such as: hackathons, personal technical projects, tech training platforms, elected coursework, or other relevant engagement in the software engineering field

• Beginner programming skills or experience

• Mentorship and training to build your skills on topics like AWS, the Software Development Life Cycle, Enterprise Architecture Application Design, and more

• Hands-on technical and soft-skills training through classroom-style learning and on-the-job experience

• Valuable relationships with leaders, engineers, and other participants in the program (including 1-on-1 mentorship)

• Access to Capital One’s Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Business Resource Groups (BRGs), which provide resources for professional development, connections, cultural celebrations, and community engagement

Our interns have access to continuous learning through our very own Tech College, a world-class learning hub that offers both online and in-person classes across 7 disciplines—Agile, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Data, Machine Learning, Mobile, and Software Engineering.
