Responsibilities*:
- Assisting in the Statutory Accounting for EMEA entities (non-UK European countries) from US GAAP reporting and local compliance,
- Completion and assistance in completion of a significant number of statutory accounts and accompanying statutory notes and disclosures,
- Ongoing statutory reviews and booking of adjustments and reclassifications needed to comply with local accounting and tax laws,
- Preparation of monthly statutory balance sheet reviews and profit and loss analytical reviews,
- Coordination of VAT reporting – liaising with VAT service providers and tax authorities, monthly or quarterly VAT accounts reconciliations depending on the entity,
- Completion of country specific statutory and statistical reporting,
- Work directly with various stakeholders including the Jacobs Tax and GL Teams and Jacobs’ Auditors in dealing with audit queries,
- Ownership of the audit relationship, being a point of contact during the audit and preparing audit deliverables,
- Preparation of required information for tax returns, leasing with external providers and internal tax team,
- As part of the wider finance team, the job may also involve other tasks including account reconciliations and working with GL team on an ad hoc basis.

Here's what you'll need
- Experience in statutory accounting for European entities
- Experience with ERP accounting systems (Oracle preferred) and MS Excel
- Very good teamwork skills and positive, proactive attitude
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with US Global Organization
- Consolidated Accounts experience
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA would be an asset
