As Senior Director of Threat Research and Data Science, you will be responsible for:

• Leading roadmap creation and partnering with product engineering to implemented the Security product portfolio
• Analyzing large security threat intelligence datasets to identify key trends, themes, and future potentials.
• Working cross functionally to apply business insight and sharing trends by industry, vertical or geographic area.
• Supporting customers on product escalations and sharing roadmap evangelism to CISO's on future products
• Leading a global team that providing production support and analysis regarding detection efficacy of our products
• Evangelizing research and promoting thought leadership at conferences, partner events and social media.
• Driving the innovation with new security product and direction via top class AI

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 15 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems or its equivalent
• Be versed in technical data processing, security threat analytics, big data and machine learning /AI
• Have experience analyzing large security threat intelligence datasets to identify key trends, themes, and future potentials.
• Enjoy driving product vision and thought leadership with stakeholders both internally and externally to evangelize Akamai
• Have experience managing and setting strategy and vision for a Data Science and Security Research team
• Have leadership experience managing a large globally diverse team
• Have good business acumen including understanding of global markets, US Enterprises and data within industries and verticals.
