Key Responsibilities

  • GM Regulatory & Program change – Central coordinator for regulatory exams (impacting multiple line of LOBs) and manage regulatory and program changes for local markets that are unique to LOBs
  • Assist with coverage for GM Singapore, GM Southeast Asia & GM Korea from Hong Kong –Managing and coordinating changes to regulations, rules and queries from local regulator. Analyzing impact, drafting responses and developing a solution to be compliant with local changes. Managing local governances, administrative tasks and audits relevant to LOB.
  • NFRR & Nexus Reporting – To coordinate with GM business in governance, issues and change management.
  • Info Barriers & Data Governance – Manage governance and controls for GM FLU. Implement framework and process in collaboration with global data governance teams and GCOR.
  • Manage r ecurring GM governance : Coordinate and manage BCP, regional outsourcing, KYC refresh, expense analysis, etc.
  • GM Sanctions – Coordinate and collaborate with Sanctions team, Sanctions COO, Legal, COR, FLU to interpret changes and implement across platform for GM.
  • Enterprise rollout coordination : To manage enterprise rollouts from scoping, coordinating and implementation for GM.
  • Global projects/initiatives – Coordinate and manage with global teams across GM Initiatives impacting APAC.
  • Back-up Coverage - To cross-cover and back-up GM LOB COOs when needed.

Qualifications/ Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services with exposure in the following areas : Operation, compliance, change management, project management.
  • Experience with data management, including the ability to manage large/complex data sets
  • Ability to design, create and evaluate the operational risk and control environment in conjunction with business partners
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Communication/ interpersonal – excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence business leaders, strong ability to build and maintain relationships across organization
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the proven ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills – ability to absorb and present complex ideas quickly and accurately
  • Independent drive – flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
  • Process analysis / design acumen – ability to understand a process and associated risks to inform control design
  • Problem solving / analytical skills – solid critical thinking and attention to details; able to synthesize large amount of data and formulate appropriate conclusions
  • Understanding root cause / identifying control deficiencies
  • Develop timely and sustainable solutions
