This position is for a PhD student to join the 3D Printing Materials R&D team as ain ourlocation in 2026. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for executing projects on new product development, specifically related to 3D printing evaluation and materials characterization.
Role expectations
- Execute research tasks at the laboratory bench: formulation, printing, material characterization
- Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and technical collaborators to deliver technical solutions
- Prioritize tasks based on project timeline
- Prepare written reports summarizing key findings
- Collaborate and share knowledge with other engineers and lab technicians as needed
- Work safely in the lab
What we are looking for
- PhD candidate in Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in polymeric materials research.
- Solid fundamental knowledge of polymer chemistry and physics
- Proficient in polymer characterization methods, along with a solid understanding of the underlying theory.
- Understand structure-property relationships in polymeric materials.
- Execute project effectively and timely under guidance
- Knowledge of photopolymers
- Interested in learning and understanding 3D printing process
- Excellent communication skills
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
