Gong is looking for a Director, Platform Solutions to help launch and scale new products as a part of our revenue operations and intelligence platform. In this role, you will support and manage high value Engage prospects/customers throughout the entire sales cycle, while also helping to develop sales playbooks and GTM motions that can be executed by the broader sales team.
RESPONSIBILITIES- This role involves a blend of new business development as well as cross and up-selling of existing customers.
- Clearly articulate and demonstrate our Engage and platform value proposition, creating excitement and enthusiasm among prospects.
- Educate senior executives on the importance of the emerging Revenue Intelligence industry and validate Gong as the leader in this new market.
- Partner with the Sales, SDR, CS, and SE teams to develop account-based sales strategies to drive pipeline generation and attach rate across the team.
- Identify market trends and product gaps, providing input and feedback to the ELT and R&D teams to ensure we have the right strategy for GTM and R&D.
- Work with ICs and Sales Leaders across a particular business unit to identify whitespace opportunities and drive growth across their book of business.
- Meet and exceed key activity and ARR-based MBOs and KPIs for Gong Engage.
- Become the subject matter expert for how companies should use Gong Engage within their revenue organizations.
- Demonstrate an ability to multithread and engage C-level Executives while cultivating lasting relationships with prospects and customers.
- Collaborate with other cross-functional teams (SE, PS, Enablement, PMM, R&D) to improve messaging, GTM strategies, and repeatable sales playbooks.
QUALIFICATIONS- 8+ years of relevant sales experience, preferably with a sales tech solution.
- Experience selling to CEO/CFO, CRO, Sales Leaders, and Revenue/Sales Operations leaders, preferably at B2B organizations.
- Experience up-selling, cross-selling, and/or hunting net new business.
- Track record of overachieving revenue targets of 1.5M+ and successfully navigating and closing six-figure deals.
- Demonstrated experience navigating through a complex sales cycle and closing strategic business with a customer list that includesFortune 1000 companies.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment in high-growth mode.
- Experience working in a Co-Prime/Overlay Sales Role preferred.
- Experience implementing and enforcing MEDDICC or similar sales methodology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Gong.io is preferred but not required.
