The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services Operations (SMGS Ops) AWS Field Experience (AFX) Planning Tools team is looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented Front End Engineer (FEE) to build solutions that make it simpler for our field team to manage and operate at scale. As a FEE on the AFX - Planning Tools team, you’ll contribute to defining and building the world class UX in Salesforce and Planning Tools built on AWS services for the AWS Sales organization. In addition to working on the latest AWS and Salesforce technologies, you’ll have the opportunity to innovate in the space of Sales Planning and Management. You’ll be chartered with creating and operating applications that deliver critical capabilities to the field, and with embedding operational knowledge and encoding best practices into everything we do.Key job responsibilities
* Having significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.
* Responsible for solving algorithmically complex problems; building services that can scale to millions of requests and deployed globally delivering an exceptional customer experience.* Using advanced technologies and AI to infer various datasources and signals to provide most relevant suggestions to our customers and to improve the discovery of items.
* Working with a group of top-notch software developers and data engineers, seasoned product and program managers, and creative visual designers who form a great team to raise the bar on the customer experience.A day in the life

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
