Responsibilities
- Help execute communication strategies for the TMP at Pittsburgh International Airport
- Ensure appropriate audiences receive operational and construction updates that may impact their work.
- Lead tours of the current airport airside terminal to the public and construction site tours for specific interest groups.
- Prepare, write, edit communications including speeches, news stories, internal newsletters, memos, PowerPoints, and other documents necessary for construction communications
- Assist with administrative duties of the PIT Tour Program.
- Ensure all project audiences receive consistent, updated, and relevant information and updates.
- Ensure all channels have consistent messaging and are updated with timely information.
- Provide updates and progress reports to Airport and construction management
- Support the Airport’s news platform, Blue Sky News, with content, story ideas and stories on the TMP.
- Manage TMP’s internal communications and coordinate with Airport’s communication team to ensure project information and announcements are consistent across all internal channels, including the intranet, any digital channels and, when necessary, at staff meetings
- Develop content for necessary collateral and work with designers on execution
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 3 years related experience in preparing and/or managing communication for major capital projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and software, specifically in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Must be willing to obtain OSHA 10 certification within the first thirty days of hire.
