Gigafactory New York is seeking a staff Facilities Electrical Engineer to support onsite operations,

What You’ll Do
  • Perform Energy Audits, Provide Energy UsageCalculations Circuit Analysis for critical load throughout the plant andcircuit protection for Voltage Sag for critical loads
  • Validation, optimization and efficiencyanalysis for cost savings and reduction of energy throughout the plant
  • Operate equipment and program/adjustmedium voltage relays
  • Prepare engineering specifications for bidinvitation, performed bid evaluation and conformed bid evaluations for purchase
  • Short circuit study and over currentcoordination by using easy power software
  • Provide base cost estimating services within theelectrical scope and work with trades to drive value for Tesla
  • Evaluate quotes related to any ongoing maintenance(preventative) activities
  • Establish standards and specifications forinstallation, modification, quality control, testing, operation, inspection andmaintenance of Emergency Power Supply System (EPSS) and high voltage electricalsystems according to commissioning standards, NFPA requirements, EPSSengineering principles and safety regulations
  • Provide technical and configurationsupport for the implementation and maintenance of energy systems utilizingtracking techniques and trending software
  • Implement electrical safety programsfollowing OSHA and NFPA 70E guideline
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering orthe equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • 8-10 years of direct experience in operationalfacilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.)
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in anextremely fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interface with multiple engineeringdisciplines
  • Medium Voltage equipment including –operating/maintaining the equipment, trouble shooting and programming/adjusting medium voltage relays.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and UBC codes and HAZMATsafety protocols
  • Ability to communicate clearly and interface at anexecutive level
