What You Will Do

• Lead human-centered experience design in a frontier domain : Shape how people engage with autonomous mobility and delivery, from first interaction to trip completion. Define new interactions, flows, and systems where none exist today, while ensuring the experiences are inclusive, trustworthy, and grounded in real human needs.
• Balance near-term execution with long-term vision : Design practical, scalable experiences for today while helping envision the future of autonomy in a multi-modal platform.
• Design across digital, physical, and spatial touchpoints : Consider vehicle interfaces, mobile apps, location-aware systems, and human-robot interaction. Translate complex physical and logistical systems into clear and intuitive user experiences.
• Navigate ambiguity with confidence : Work in a highly dynamic environment with evolving technology, policies, and user expectations. Identify opportunities, define problems, and set a clear design direction amidst uncertainty.
• Partner deeply across disciplines : Work with engineering, PM, autonomy specialists, robotics teams, operations, and designers to drive cohesive end-to-end experiences.
• Prototype and experiment rapidly : Use prototyping to test ideas early and often, from low-fidelity flows to high-fidelity motion and service walkthroughs.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design experience, with a track record of shipping digital products in fast-paced environments
• Experience building products for mobile apps, tablets, and web interfaces

Preferred Qualifications

• A degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
• Familiarity with designing across physical, digital, and spatial touchpoints, including geospatial or location-based systems
• Strong prototyping and storytelling abilities to bring complex ideas to life
• Proficiency with Figma and related design tools
• Experience collaborating with user researchers, data scientists, and cross-functional technical teams
• Ability to think at both a strategic system level and a tactical interaction level
• Comfort working in areas with undefined problems, emerging technologies, or rapid iteration cycles

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.

For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.
