A Typical day

• Leads the India and SEA Communications Team, setting a Communications strategy and plan that aligns with the global and regional strategy
• Oversees the development and execution of market plans supporting Consumer Communications, Corporate and Policy Communications, and Editorial Communications
• Takes global and regional strategies and priorities and turns them into communications plans that meet local business needs
• Provides Communications strategic advice and counsel to the India and SEA leadership team
• Drives high standards in work across the market and ensures results are measurable
• Motivates and leads the team to originate creative communications approaches
• Responsible for ensuring effective cross functional collaboration with other departments and within the overall policy & communications department
• Brand building Consumer PR experience, including news generation, events, newsjacking and influencer marketing
• Corporate and / or policy comms experience, either working in a communications agency or in-house
• Experienced at developing exec comms and thought leadership opportunities for local and global senior executives and stakeholders.
• Providing strategic counsel for issues & crisis communication support

Your expertise

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10+years communications experience working in agency and in-house communications
• Excellent writing and strong verbal communications and interpersonal skills
• Experience in media relations with an established media network
• Experience with working with comms agencies to develop and execute a news calendar and proactive campaigns
• Able to produce quality work within tight deadlines, adjust quickly to changes in priorities, and keep positive and level-headed in stressful situations
• Ability to work collaboratively with multi-functional leads in a matrix organization
• Confident in leading meetings with external partners, senior stakeholders and media contacts
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Self-starter who operates with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English; and exceptional interpersonal skills
