Reporting to the VP, Sales Engineering you will play a hands-on role in building a team of sales engineers and owning the revenue and consumption responsibilities for the group.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO:
Build and lead a team of sales engineers and SE managers who serve as our core product introduction, evaluation and education experts
Coordinate cross functional dotted line resources to achieve your team goals
Partner with sales leadership to achieve regional quota and consumption targets and ensure customer success
Provide guidance to revenue leaders on sales strategy, product obstacles/gaps and represent the team’s needs to executive staff
Interpret complex problems, create simple solutions and collaborate closely with prospects, channel partners and our sales team to deliver winning solutions
Collaborate and maintain a close working relationship with product, engineering, sales, marketing and services
Play an active role in sourcing and screening potential candidates and managing the entire interview process
Act as a player/coach working with your team on and delivering compelling presentations to customers and prospects
Innovate and implement strategies that will uplevel your teams skills
ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:
15+ years of industry experience in a sales or pre-sales capacity, including 5+ years in a leadership role managing and mentoring high-performing teams (hiring, training, and retaining top talent)
Location preference: Toronto/Montreal
Strong domain expertise in areas such as Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, and SaaS Solutions
Solid technical knowledge of SQL database ecosystems and their integration with cloud platforms
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations to both technical and executive stakeholders — whether on a whiteboard, through live demos, or formal presentations
Consultative sales approach: Ability to understand complex business challenges and map them to Snowflake’s cloud data platform and solutions
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Strong strategic thinking, with a deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles and the ability to manage complex deals from initial discovery to close
Fluency in French is a plus, but not required
