We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Engagement Manager to join our Transaction Strategy and Execution team, based in our Copenhagen office. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in M&A strategy/execution (both pre- and post-deal) and experience in the operational aspects of M&A, including client-facing or in-house engagements in one or more of the following areas:
- Post-merger integration and/or carve-out assistance
- Operations due diligence
- Operational value creation
- Deal strategy, including synergies
- Technology (product) and/or IT due diligence
Your key responsibilities
- Lead and/or contribute to a variety of pre- and post-deal engagements, including due diligence, deal strategy/synergies, and operational value creation.
- Manage day-to-day engagement aspects, including commercial, staffing, and risk management.
- Assist in business origination, including pitches and presentations, and work in project teams with colleagues.
- Execute Strategy and Transaction services that support key decision-makers in developing and executing transaction strategies.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with strong business acumen to add value to our clients.
- Learn and develop technical and personal skills to support your career goals through structured learning, coaching, and experiences.
- Contribute to practice development initiatives, supporting our focus on creating a great workplace.
- Act as a role model and support the development of junior team members, along with recruitment and training responsibilities.
Skills and attributes for success
- Significant and recent experience in a consulting firm or industry, preparing and delivering programs in an M&A environment.
- Ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively with gravitas to all relevant stakeholders.
- Comfort with ambiguity and fluid situations in time-pressured environments.
- Professional presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
