Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions that meet business requirements.

  • Drive solution architecture design, evaluation, selection, and buy vs. build decisions.

  • Develop and manage cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and oversee data engineering pipelines.

  • Lead teams in implementing data solutions, ensuring best practices in data governance, quality, and security.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (business analysts, data scientists, engineers) to ensure alignment with business objectives.

  • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and effective stakeholder communication.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.

Skills & Attributes for Success

  • Strong experience in cloud architecture and data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

  • Hands-on expertise in data engineering, including data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and real-time data processing.

  • Strong data modeling and architecture knowledge, including data warehousing and data lakes.

  • Proficiency in tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Talend, Denodo, or similar technologies.

  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Relevant experience in Data Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Project Management.

  • Experience in leading data transformation projects and working with large-scale enterprise data architectures.

  • Consulting experience is a plus.
