Main Responsibilities
- Make code changes affecting cloud deployments
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests regarding database software and services
- Manage the customers experience and expectations as we work through issues
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions or workarounds
- Document and track customer cases using SAP’s support tools and processes
- Collaborate with other support staff, developers, and product managers to ensure customer satisfaction and product quality
- Keep up to date with the latest database technologies and best practices
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in demanding situations
- At least one year of experience in software support or development
- Ability and desire to independently learn new technologies and software products
- Strong knowledge of database concepts, SQL, and scripting languages
- Strong coding skills in Python
- Working knowledge of cloud concepts and technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and Helm
- Track record of using software development best practices
- Exhibits excellent teamwork and customer service skills
- Demonstrates the ability to be proactive in engaging customers and colleagues
- Experience with Jira or ServiceNow ticketing system
- Familiarity with SAP’s products and services
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
