As a Data Engineering Manager you will play a thought leadership role in our team – the team will look to you for advice on analytical and business issues facing them. You work very efficiently and routinely deliver the right things. You will have a org-wide view of the analytical solutions that you build, and you will consistently think in terms of automating or expanding the results org-wide. This high impact role will have an opportunity to lead a team to help design and build our data infrastructure from the ground up, while driving business intelligence solutions end-to-end: business requirements, workflow instrumentation, data modeling, ETL, metadata, reporting, and dashboard development. You are an expert at designing, implementing, and operating stable, scalable, low cost solutions for our end users. The role requires someone who loves data, has strong technical skills, has a strong business sense, and can lead a team to put these skills into action.You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. - 2+ years of processing data with a massively parallel technology (such as Redshift, Teradata, Netezza, Spark or Hadoop based big data solution) experience
- 2+ years of relational database technology (such as Redshift, Oracle, MySQL or MS SQL) experience
- 2+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics (using ETL/ELT processes) experience
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
