DESCRIPTION

Prime Air is seeking an experienced lead Industrial Engineer to drive scale and process standardization within our drone assembly site. In this role, you will provide technical guidance and support to the manufacturing site leader by designing a system or systems through analyzing process work flows and sequence of operations that will enable rapid growth of our production capabilities. You will improve efficiencies in production facilities and equipment layouts; and establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.Your role will be to solve complex problems with simple and practical solutions by developing a deep knowledge of the Prime Air drone assembly and test processes. You will strengthen standardization by identifying gaps and developing process improvement solutions. You will create effective communication plans and provide visibility to KPIs to all impacted teams, driving overall process alignment.Key job responsibilities
• Develop, monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) in order to hold leaders accountable to execute to business goals. Implement corrective actions as needed to sustain and improve process performance.
• Lead comprehensive studies and analysis across the manufacturing value stream, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Conduct learning curve analyses to understand and predict the rate of improvement towards meeting Prime Air cost targets.
• Utilize methodologies such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen events, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to implement impactful process improvements and achieve cost savings.
• Drive drone producibility requirements and own critical artifacts for Prime Air’s production system design. Understand and own trade-offs decisions that will impact manufacturing.
• Develop and maintain production schedules based on current and projected drone demands, anticipating production capacity constraints and risks to the long-term Prime Air Roadmap.
• Works closely with Quality Assurance, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Engineering Development, and Manufacturing and Test teams to meet all functional and compliance requirements while maintaining Program commitments.
• You keep abreast of industry trends. You effectively research and benchmark our technology against other competing technology in the industry.
