Lead, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer

You will play a critical role in supporting the front-facing aspects of the Data Loss Prevention program, delivering exceptional support, process optimization, KPI monitoring, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards and policies and fostering cross-functional collaboration with Lines of Business (LOBs) and senior leadership.

Your ability to communicate effectively, prioritize tasks, and drive solutions will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for DLP solutions, including endpoint, email, and cloud-based tools.

  • Develop and implement process enhancements to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

  • Identify opportunities for process automation and standardization to reduce manual effort and minimize errors.

  • Monitor the health of DLP controls, ensuring systems are functioning optimally and in compliance with organizational standards.

  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators to assess operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

  • Build strong relationships with LOBs to understand their needs and provide tailored support.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and align service delivery with organizational goals.

  • Present updates, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership, translating technical information into actionable business strategies.

  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of DLP controls to safeguard sensitive data.

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure alignment with enterprise security policies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.

  • At least 4 years of experience working in cybersecurity or information technology

  • At least 4 years of experience with DLP tools and technologies (e.g., endpoint, web proxy, and email solutions).

  • At least 3 years of experience in service desk or IT operations.

  • At least 3 years of experience with process optimization or service delivery improvement.

  • At least 1 year of experience managing relationships with various lines of business.

  • At least 1 year of experience presenting to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • One or more of the following security related professional certifications: (CISSP, CISA, CASP, or CCSP)

  • 5+ years with ITIL frameworks and Agile delivery models.

McLean, VA: $193,400 - $220,700 for Manager, Cyber Technical New York, NY: $211,000 - $240,800 for Manager, Cyber Technical Plano, TX: $175,800 - $200,700 for Manager, Cyber Technical Richmond, VA: $175,800 - $200,700 for Manager, Cyber TechnicalThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
