This individual will report to the ESCI Supplier Readiness and Development Manager. This position is based in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Supplier Engagement & Risk Mitigation• Oversee and lead all aspects of supplier engagement programs and activities including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, scope and definition, and provide oversight• Develop strategy to uphold risk mitigation across supplier and product lifecycles to ensure both worker well-being and business continuity• Lead the team in investigation and focused investigations for high risk cases and follow through remediation programs in partnership with third party firms and business partners• Work with the team and business partners to escalate and resolve non-compliance issues resulting from any supplier engagement activities Project/Program Management • Initiate and develop programs with detailed implementation timeframes, milestones, stakeholders engagement, resources planning and control• Utilize strategic approaches to drive broader impact in supply chain management to enhance and sustain ESCI performance and risk mitigation• Develop metrics to track progress and evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of program• Leverage excellent business sense to prioritize resource in program execution and management• Proactively identify risks in program execution and take immediate actions to deliver results • Work with the internal and external business partners to enhance and evolve ESCI programs to drive measurable improvements on process efficiency and effectiveness• Work with the relevant business partners and external stakeholders to drive broader impact of programs in Apple supply chain and across industries• Influence business partner & supplier actions to align with ESCI values• Initiate and manage effective business review with internal and external business partners to drive concrete changes and improvements
- 8+ years prior full-time relevant work experience in program management, business analysis and strategy development
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Minimum BA/BS degree, with understanding and/or educational background in Corporate Social Responsibility or Sustainability or Business Management or Business Development
- Experience driving supply chain process improvement and solution with strong supply chain expertise
- Familiar with Vietnam supply chain and experience in working with suppliers in Vietnam
- Solid project management and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through deadlines/projects simultaneously under minimal supervision
- Strong Problem solving/analytical skills
- Sensitive to cultural differences in country/region of coverage
- Fluent in English - both written and verbal
- Ability to travel
- Mandarin and local language is preferred
