As the Software Development Manager, you will drive technical strategy, mentor and develop software engineers, and ensure delivery of high-quality cloud-native applications. You'll be responsible for establishing engineering best practices, driving architectural decisions, and creating a culture of technical excellence. The role requires strong leadership in agile development practices, CI/CD implementation, and cloud architecture, while partnering with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.Key job responsibilities
- Establish and maintain development standards, including code quality, testing protocols, and security practices, while overseeing the implementation of robust CI/CD pipelines and AWS infrastructure.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to define technical roadmaps, resource requirements, and delivery timelines while ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams.- Oversee the implementation of security best practices and compliance requirements, ensuring all solutions meet Amazon's security standards and industry regulations.About the team

- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 7+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
