As a Policy & Advocacy Vice President, you will work closely with the Head of Policy and Advocacy to identify and track relevant policy priorities, prepare submissions for Congressional inquiries or comments to federal agencies, draft remarks for senior leaders, and represent Morgan Health in various forums. You will contribute to the implementation of specific policy campaigns and advocacy initiatives, mentor junior team members and collaborate to support Innovation and Investment initiatives across Morgan Health.
As the top candidate, you have command of federal health policy (legislative and regulatory) processes and knowledge of the commercial health care market. You will also be adept at communication, visualization, and research/analysis.
Job responsibilities:
- Policy Analysis: Identify and analyze key policy issues and emerging opportunities, providing insights and developing recommendations; prepare presentations, draft/edit policy documents, testimony, and other materials to support policy and advocacy initiatives.
- Business Results: Assist in development and execution of strategic Policy and Advocacy initiatives aligned with Morgan Health’s overall mission and goals. Routinely monitor and report on the progress of advocacy efforts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with Government Relations, policymakers, health care organizations, and other stakeholders to advance policy goals and maintain strong relationships. Represent Morgan Health and effectively communicate the organization’s policy positions and advocacy efforts.
- Teamwork + Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Policy and Advocacy and others to ensure cohesive and coordinated policy and advocacy efforts across Morgan Health and JPMorganChase, including leading coordination with JPMC Federal Government Relations. Collaborate with junior team members throughout project life cycles, providing support and feedback on approaches, analysis and presentation.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree required with 10+ years of professional experience in health policy, public affairs, or academic research
- Preferred: Master’s in public health, public policy, or related field with 7+ years of professional experience or Juris Doctorate with 5+ years of professional experience
- Experience developing and driving projects that align with and amplify strategy and priorities within a large organization
- Strong familiarity with health policymakers and stakeholders focused on affordability, quality, or equity issues
- General understanding of policy issues that are relevant to commercial health insurance
- Proven ability to collaborate well with others
- Excellent verbal and written communication and a team-oriented attitude

- Master’s in public health, public policy, or related field with 7+ years of professional experience or Juris Doctorate with 5+ years of professional experience
- Capitol Hill or other federal policy experience a plus
