Job Description

Brief description of the role

  • To direct the development and execution of business strategy of the Vaccine Franchise - Private, and to ensure alignment and integration of sales & marketing strategies within and across business/business functions.
  • To develop and recommend business innovation & robust marketing strategy to optimize private sales across portfolio
  • To develop innovative strategy to expand private business growth opportunity by exploring patient access, channel/account, corporation
  • Leading project/pilot strategy, including digital marketing, consumer activation, to implement concrete strategy

Provide Strategic Direction and Leadership to the Business

  • Steers the development and execution of business strategy of the responsible franchise, in line with company vision, mission, value and strategy.
  • Develops associate policy and procedures to enable strategy implementation, control and optimization of financial and non-financial resources, implementation of effective functionally oriented plans that support and enable strategy implementation at the operational level.
  • Assesses opportunities and risks in the light of their impact on company long terms effectiveness and near term profitability.
  • Monitor business performance and ensure that relevant controls and measures are in place to protect and grow the business

Market Share / Evolution Index

  • Develops and ensures effective implementation of marketing programs to achieve desired market share
  • Identify business intelligence gaps; supervises the monitoring of competitors’ product lines, prices and promotional activities; prepares summary and comparative analysis of data gathered.
  • Identifies problems and opportunities relevant to product market and undertakes appropriate measures.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of marketing plans.

Profitability

  • Monitors competitive price movements and recommends appropriate price strategy.
  • Prepares and secures approval of the expense budget in support of the BU’s operations and activities.
  • Monitors sales, marketing and promotions operational expenses incurred and ensure absence of negative budget variances related to operating expenses

Customer Engagement & Consumer activation

  • Identifies key customers and accounts for district
  • Maintains working relationship with key customers
  • Leverages knowledge and relationships to support team members sales efforts & account management
  • Lead & drive consumer activation initiatives for the franchise and analyses the impact to business growth

People Management and Talent Development

  • Provide leadership to the entire department by maintaining close communication with the entire staff, identifying strengths, assign duties and responsibilities, motivate and encourage personal and professional development, and developing teamwork and collaboration with the objective of ensuring a high performing department
