What you'll do...
Sam’s Tech is looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Engineering who is skilled at the overall management and execution of change management and architectural design. You will sit within the Chief Architects Office and support the design and execution of important organizational-wide initiatives that enable the successful change management and architectural design strategy. Your role will involve breaking down barriers to enable the delivery of large-scale, technology-driven projects and programs across the Sam’s Tech enterprise. You’ll work closely with Engineering leaders across Sam’s Tech and the overall Global Tech organization. With your leadership and strategic vision, you'll play a pivotal role in taking the Sam’s business on continuous path of evolution and growth.
What you'll do:
- Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs.
- Develop build support and implement business strategies, plans, and practices.
- Analyze costs and forecasts while incorporating them into business plans.
- Determine and support resource requirements.
- Evaluate operational processes.
- Measure outcomes to ensure desired results.
- Identify and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrate adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce.
- Cultivate an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices.
What you'll bring:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in technology, retail, or a related field.
- A deep technical background and direct experiences developing change management systems.
- In depth knowledge of ITIL and ITSM and experience with tools like ServiceNow
- Experience with CI/CD environment/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins
- Extensive experience in Operations and Architectural Design.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to embrace change and drive digital transformation.
- Customer-focused with a proven track record of delivering results.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
