What you’ll do:
- Lead and manage the collections and billing team, providing direction, support, and development opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates and reduce outstanding receivables.
- Oversee the billing process to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency through automation.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any billing or collection issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax and financial reporting requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize collections and billing processes.
- Manage the budget for the collections and billing department, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Skills and knowledge you should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within collections and billing.
- Proven track record of improving collection rates and reducing outstanding receivables.
- Strong knowledge of billing processes, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, with advanced Zuora and Excel skills.
