Partner closely with all of the departments across the organization that include Marketing, Sales, Procurement, Global Alliances, and Partnerships teams, as well as other business teams to provide practical and business-minded legal advice on privacy and data protection-related matters , developing and providing training, and emphasizing the importance of privacy while delivering practical and business-minded legal advice
Advise on privacy and legal issues, risks, and requirements
Develop and automate processes to scale efficiencies and privacy controls
Develop and iterate on privacy-related notices, policies, procedures, and guidelines
Assist corporate, product, and marketing teams with developing marketing collateral to tell our privacy story
Research and evaluate the applicability and impact of global privacy laws, legislation and regulatory guidance
Advise on privacy requirements for new technologies
REQUIREMENTS :
3-5 years of substantive privacy legal experience, preferably both in-house and at a law firm
Experience with EU and international privacy and data protection laws, regulations and standards
Experience with US State and Federal privacy laws and regulations
JD from an accredited law school, membership in at least one state bar, and the ability to practice in the jurisdiction in which this position is located
Ability to pragmatically weigh the risks and benefits of complex situations
Willing to take on new challenges and learn new technologies
A good sense of humor and passionate about privacy
The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:
The estimated base salary range for this role is $163,000 - $220,500.
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
