What you'll do...

As a member of the team, you will power Walmart’s Warehouse Management System. You’ll be responsible for test designing, test execution, and finding defects using both manual and automated methods that can directly improve our customers’ and Associates’ lives. You’ll independently handle high-impact, critical software/systems monitoring issues and troubleshoot business and production issues.

What you will do:

  • You will be responsible for testing the entire WMS product across its components and external integrations.
  • You will promote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices.
  • You will own the development of test strategies, including manual and automated testing, test plans, and the execution of end-to-end functional and integration tests to certify development builds and ensure the successful release of apps and services into production.
  • You will implement QA processes, write and execute automated test cases for all work streams to improve the overall testing cycle.
  • The successful candidate must be obsessed with quality improvement and promoting best quality engineering practices into every stage of product development.
  • You will ensure comprehensive test coverage by working closely with the product and engineering teams to prioritize testing execution and report on test execution progress and results.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong working knowledge to design and develop test automation scripts/frameworks with Rest-assured/Selenium/Appium and Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL.
  • Demonstrated success working within an Agile development environment.
  • Knowledge of application software development life cycle concepts, lean and agile best practices, environment and configuration management, test management methodologies, and processes.
  • Ability to mentor teams in problem-solving, a commitment to quality, and a passion for customer experience.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally.
  • A strive to ensure quality releases of software with no production downs and/or critical impediments to users.
  • A strong commitment to taking complete ownership of the successful delivery of projects.
  • A strong commitment to learning and self-improvement.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in automation framework development and test automation (Rest-assured/Selenium/Appium, Java).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with automated testing in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environments. Experience in testing mobile applications (Android/iOS).
  • Experience automating test cases for mobile and web applications.
  • Experience in testing APIs (Manual & Automated).
  • Experience in the retail industry with Supply Chain/Warehouse Management Applications is a plus.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent technical abilities with strong business, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in analyzing, investigating, verifying, recreating, documenting, and triaging software issues and tracking them to resolution.
