Associate's degree, trade school certification, other verifiable training in a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience with mechanical maintenance, including fire and safety systems, buildings infrastructure, pumps, tanks, piping, elevators, and cooling systems (e.g., HVAC equipment, chillers, cooling towers).
Preferred qualifications:
Certification(s) in fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, or related disciplines (e.g., NICET, NAFED, NFPA)
3 years of experience in the maintenance and operation of fire detection, suppression, and life safety systems in a data center or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IBC, NEC) governing fire protection and life safety systems.
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, with direct experience in conducting diagnostic tests and repairs.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and regulatory authorities.
