Minimum qualifications:
Preferred qualifications:
- Associate's degree, trade school certification, other verifiable training in a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with mechanical maintenance, including fire and safety systems, buildings infrastructure, pumps, tanks, piping, elevators, and cooling systems (e.g., HVAC equipment, chillers, cooling towers).
Preferred qualifications:
- Certification(s) in fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, or related disciplines (e.g., NICET, NAFED, NFPA)
- 3 years of experience in the maintenance and operation of fire detection, suppression, and life safety systems in a data center or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IBC, NEC) governing fire protection and life safety systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, with direct experience in conducting diagnostic tests and repairs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and regulatory authorities.
