The Equipment Maintenance Manager directs activities of personnel engaged in the troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of manufacturing equipment to attain goals consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
Responsibilities:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts and a solid understanding of Flex policies and procedures. Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions. Use of various tools associated with the following areas may be required: Electronic Assembly, Cables, Testing, Machine Operations, Mechanical and Electrical Repair. Office Skills including ability to utilize telephones and computer hardware and office software to include, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation packages may be required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and 8 years of related maintenance experience.
- Directs daily department activities to maximize equipment utilization and support production needs.
- Establishes preventative maintenance schedules.
- Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.
- Reviews and establishes material, equipment, and workforce resource requirements.
- Coordinates maintenance activities with other functional groups such as engineering and operations. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the departmental function.
- Administer safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees.
- Generates maintenance logs and other operations metrics.
