Respond to emergencies consistent with fire suppression for a 2,500-acre campus, over 11 million sqft of manufacturing space, a cathode facility, crash test area, wildland space, and growing
Respond to confined space, trench, rescue, high-angle rescue, and entrapments. Respond to hazardous material incidents to contain and mitigate life and environmental hazards
Provide basic/advanced life support during medical emergencies associate with trauma, chemical exposure, or medical emergencies
Collaborate with On Site Medical (OSM) team to ensure the best possible patient care and outcome. Support stakeholders with emergency action plans, emergency drills, and emergency communication
Provides detailed verbal, written, and computer reports pertaining to condition and care of patients. Organize, file, and maintain safety documentation (e.g., one note records, pass down logs,); Ensure all support documentation is collected for event reports.
Maintain a strong presence throughout the site engaging with shop stakeholders and production associates while fostering a robust safety culture. Support EHS Specialists with safety concerns and assist with coordination of safety supplies (first aid kits, eyewash stations, etc.)
Safely and efficiently operates emergency response and powered industrial vehicles. Perform confined space inventory, classification, and incident pre-planning. Support facility operations to minimize loss of production time
What You’ll Bring
Required - Firefighter 1 and 2 (IFSAC/Pro Board or TCFP), current National Registry Paramedic or TDSHS Paramedic, HazMat Awareness/Operations (HazMat Technician Preferred), FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 Certifications
Valid driver's license required to be able to operate assigned fleet
Rope Rescue/Confined Space Rescue Certifications Preferred
Fire Instructor 1 Preferred, OSHA 10 Certification - Completion required within 6 months of hire
Ability to rapidly respond to employee health emergencies, discern audible alarms and activate emergency procedures

Essential Physical Demands:
Must be comfortable in confined spaces
Must be able to lift over 50lbs
Must be able to stand/walk for +10hrs daily
Must be comfortable working with hazardous chemicals
Must be able to pass respiratory requirements and operate in a SCBA mask for extended periods of time Must complete medical baseline assessment and have the ability to complete physically strenuous tasks associated with fire suppression, for extended periods of time
