What You’ll Do
  • Respond to emergencies consistent with fire suppression for a 2,500-acre campus, over 11 million sqft of manufacturing space, a cathode facility, crash test area, wildland space, and growing
  • Respond to confined space, trench, rescue, high-angle rescue, and entrapments. Respond to hazardous material incidents to contain and mitigate life and environmental hazards
  • Provide basic/advanced life support during medical emergencies associate with trauma, chemical exposure, or medical emergencies
  • Collaborate with On Site Medical (OSM) team to ensure the best possible patient care and outcome. Support stakeholders with emergency action plans, emergency drills, and emergency communication
  • Provides detailed verbal, written, and computer reports pertaining to condition and care of patients. Organize, file, and maintain safety documentation (e.g., one note records, pass down logs,); Ensure all support documentation is collected for event reports.
  • Maintain a strong presence throughout the site engaging with shop stakeholders and production associates while fostering a robust safety culture. Support EHS Specialists with safety concerns and assist with coordination of safety supplies (first aid kits, eyewash stations, etc.)
  • Safely and efficiently operates emergency response and powered industrial vehicles. Perform confined space inventory, classification, and incident pre-planning. Support facility operations to minimize loss of production time
What You’ll Bring
  • Required - Firefighter 1 and 2 (IFSAC/Pro Board or TCFP), current National Registry Paramedic or TDSHS Paramedic, HazMat Awareness/Operations (HazMat Technician Preferred), FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 Certifications
  • Valid driver's license required to be able to operate assigned fleet
  • Rope Rescue/Confined Space Rescue Certifications Preferred
  • Fire Instructor 1 Preferred, OSHA 10 Certification - Completion required within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to rapidly respond to employee health emergencies, discern audible alarms and activate emergency procedures

  • Evidence of exceptional ability: Clear communication, teamwork, problem solving skills, and ability to adapt quickly
Essential Physical Demands:
  • Must be comfortable in confined spaces
  • Must be able to lift over 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand/walk for +10hrs daily
  • Must be comfortable working with hazardous chemicals
  • Must be able to pass respiratory requirements and operate in a SCBA mask for extended periods of time Must complete medical baseline assessment and have the ability to complete physically strenuous tasks associated with fire suppression, for extended periods of time
