What You’ll DoWhat You’ll Bring
- Design mechanical components and mechanisms related to electrical connections, conductors, assembly aids and vehicle integration parts
- Develop novel technologies and novel manufacturing techniques related to the same.
- Perform thermal/structural modeling of components and systems
- Build prototypes and perform functional validation in both laboratory and prototype vehicles
- Work with cross functional mechanical engineering and integration teams to develop functional systems
- Work with electrical engineers and PCBA designers to integrate components into electro-mechanical systems
- Work with test and reliability engineers to validate new designs in accelerated testing
- Work with manufacturing engineers and suppliers to transition concepts to production
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated successful experience in mechanical engineering including part design and in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die casting, stamping, extrusion, etc
- Demonstratable mechanical engineering fundamental knowledge
- Detail oriented personality with solid documentation and reporting skills
- Proficiency in CAD modeling, CATIA experience highly valued but not required
- 10-15% of travel is expected
