• Manage external client and stakeholders, as well as internal staff to complete work on-time and within budget, including interfacing with teams working on other airport programs/projects
• Coordinate design and construction activities with airport clients, consultants, stakeholders, and airlines
• Oversee interdisciplinary teams and provide review and guidance to project team during development of project deliverables
• When necessary, coordinate projects with regulatory agencies and serve as a liaison between clients and agencies
• Mentor other aviation staff
• Assist with proposal development and participate in interviews and presentations as needed.
• Take an active role and participation in US aviation industry trade organizations (ACC, ACI, AAAE, ASCE, etc.); including presentation of papers, publications and serving on select committees
- Bachelor of Science Degree in related field, Master of Science a plus
- Minimum 12 years aviation experience
- Registered Professional Engineer or Architect in CA
- Strong leadership skills with ability to relate to both technical staff and external clients
- Working at multiple large and medium hub commercial airports in North America.
- Ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously
- Managing consultants, contractors, and program managers
- Previous experience as project manager or project engineer on multiple projects
- Experience with planning/scheduling, budgeting, and risk management tools
- Collaborating with stakeholders and end users a plus
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Previous work experience delivering projects under FAA AIP program requirements
- Previous work experience with navigating local, state, and federal permitting agencies and requirements
