Continuously monitor cloud environments for performance issues, security threats, and potential outages. Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Forecast future infrastructure needs based on business growth and application demands. Scale cloud resources up or down as needed to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to protect cloud data and applications. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss and downtime in case of failures or security breaches.
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for level 3 technical support. Participate in level 3 support for OCP across core network and IT app clusters.
Provide guidance, training, and support to team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Work closely with development, security, and other teams to ensure smooth integration and efficient operations.
May lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements or small teams, handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You Have:
B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech with 8+ years of experience and in that at least 4 years in leading a team
Experience with cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and OpenStack, OpenShift, Ericsson CEE, Advanced Shell Scripting, Python, Ansible, Telecom NFVi experience
Expertise in managing and operating cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, load balancing, and security
Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages like Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Python, or PowerShell.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
Flexible to work as per Oceania Time Zone (Australia, New Zealand and Japan)
It would be nice if you also had:
Understanding of cloud security best practices, including access control, encryption, vulnerability management, and incident responses.
Familiar with cloud-based databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and their management
