Key Skills and Experience

This role is primarily focused on Software Architecture. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of relevant experience in programming, designing, testing, and architecting software components related to relevant business systems (e.g., Nokia core solutions like 1-NDS, SDL, IMS) and software systems (e.g., Java, Python, Kubernetes, CNF, SQL, Opensearch).

• Interact with Nokia’s customers to understand their requirements and propose suitable software solutions in areas such as 5G, Cloud Native transformation, SDM (Subscriber Data Management), IMS, Policy Control, and Provisioning.
• Continuously update knowledge and self-train in new telecom, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and cloud technologies.
• Act as a technical guide for sales teams during customer discussions.
• Collaborate with Nokia Solution Architects, Product Managers, Project Managers, and third-party product managers to align customer requirements with Nokia and third-party products.
• Manage the lifecycle and evolution of various NAM MS custom products.

How You Will Contribute and What You Will Learn:

• Design software applications for Wireless Telecom Operators, leveraging 5G standards, Cloud Native Functions, Kubernetes, Containers, DevOps, Security, and CI/CD.
• Based on client requirements, define system specifications and create comprehensive documentation for system architecture.
• Develop a strong understanding of Cloud Microservices, Containers, Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and Data Analytics.
• Provide detailed requirements and design to Nokia R&D, guiding them on design and architecture, and overseeing feature and software product creation.
• Develop technical solution architectures for RFIs, RFPs, and customer trials. Create work cost estimates to support software engineering services proposals.

You Have:

• Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure (OpenStack, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure).
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Java, Ruby, or Python programming.
• Experience with CI/CD automation tools (Jenkins, Chef, or Ansible).
• Experience with messaging solutions such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or ActiveMQ.
• A solid understanding of security, including SSL/TLS encryption algorithms, certificates, and sync/async key-based encryption.
• Experience in software engineering and design architecture, including security, load balancing, clustering, and performance management.
• Wireless telecom experience in 4G LTE and 5G technologies (e.g., HSS, HLR, IMS, SDM, NDS, SDL, PCRF, AAA, PGW, EIR).
• Proficiency in Python, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure, and AWS.

It would be nice if you also had:

• A graduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Data Science, or related engineering fields.
• An understanding of wireless telecom operator business drivers and technology.
• Working experience, training, or certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, etc.
