You’ll also provide leadership during startup and coordination of work activities with other engineering professionals. You will be part of a multi-discipline, highly interactivesuccessfully deliver on the construction administration anddevelopment, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems and products for building Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems and components.Additionally, you may be providing process improvements related to budgets, time management, contract performance and delivery leading to the close out the project.
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 20+ years of experience working on large building construction projects with a focus on mechanical engineering including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and related mechanical building systems
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler, suppression, and fire alarm system layout utilizing hydraulic calculation programs, and knowledge of NFPA Codes, and International Building and Fire Codes
- Knowledge of all aspects of plumbing/HVAC systems
- Knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, delivery systems, and components
- Experience managing a team of engineering professionals, including monitoring work performance and driving professional development
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written, and analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass a Federal background check and obtain an airport ID security badge
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Master’s Degree in Construction or Engineering
- Proficient working knowledge of Revit, 3D and CADD software
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
- Prior airport terminal mechanical, fire protection and plumbing design or construction management experience
