Essential Responsibilities:

  • Identify issues and recommend best practices for the administration of legal entities and subsidiaries.
  • Lead functional projects and programs that contribute to business or process improvements.
  • Analyze business trends to inform decision-making and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate corporate records and documentation.

Expected Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications

In your role as a credit risk manager, you will:

  • Manage credit policy change governance, working also with global credit team as needed to appropriately update policy and procedure documents, and log any changes.
  • Interact with global credit compliance and legal teams to confirm that the credit policies are compliant with applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage timely compliance with credit risk-related legal requirements, attend the corresponding Regulatory Change Forum, and lead regulatory compliance projects such as emerging CSSF/ECB requirements.
  • Interact with the Regulatory Reporting team to oversee the forbearance and non-performing exposure reporting to CSSF and credit related reports to BCL.
  • Monitor policy execution to ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures, and log potential policy breaches, investigation results, and eventual resolutions.
  • Interact with global credit control and operations teams to become aware of any operational issues/incidents as they arise and inform PayPal Europe management on root causes, remediation plans, financial impact, and preventive actions.
  • Verify the accuracy of the periodic portfolio level credit risk appetite reviews.
  • Draft and coordinate credit-related parts of various daily reports to the regulator, such as Self Assessment Questionnaire/SAQ, Short Form Report/SAQ.
  • Conduct Credit Risk Assessment as well as Business Impact Analysis and Business Continuity Management including sub-sequent updates.
  • Participate in credit audits and inspections to provide support to internal and external auditors on all these activities as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in risk management, compliance, consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Team worker, responsible, delivery oriented.
  • Ability to work with a group of people within the credit team or broadly across the larger organization to achieve desired outcomes in an effective way.
  • Ability to accomplish tasks with close attention to detail checking work carefully even over smaller points.
  • Experience in banking regulatory background in EU.
