Description
You will be a part of a team qualifying new class of BMS algorithms and architectures to improve the utility of batteries of Apple products. In this position you will be expected to:- use a combination of advanced electrical and chemical engineering and mathematics to validate the performance of BMS algorithms.- develop simulation and physical tests to validate state of charge and state of power of battery systems.- develop verification methods to detect battery abnormalities early in advance in product design process.- review and analyze qualification data, flag and report anomalous qualification output and perform failure analysis to identify root cause for deviation, and provide risk
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent job-related experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in Battery Management System (BMS) Algorithm/Firmware/Software development or validation
- Experience with Python or C/C++
- Experience in working on electrical circuits
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-year experience in BMS Algorithm/Firmware/Software development or validation
- Experience with detailed Lithium-ion battery modeling
- Experience with time-series data analysis
- Critical thinking skills
- Trouble shooting skills
- Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Ability total action and drive results on tight schedules
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and cross-functional teams
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
