A day in the life
As a Software Development Engineer, you will collaborate with our Product team to design and develop solutions for content ingestion, knowledge extraction, catalog management, advertising integration and streaming video content serving for the fast-growing Fire TV Channels app.You will work closely with stakeholders across multiple organizations to influence product decisions, deliver delightful user experiences, and drive business value.You will launch quickly, utilize data to rapidly iterate, and see the immediate impact of your work on millions of Fire TV and Alexa devices.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with video streaming protocols and technologies (e.g. HTTP Live Streaming, MPEG-DASH, WebRTC)
- Experience with video advertising solutions and standards (e.g. VAST, VMAP, VPAID, SIMID, OpenRTB, CATS, AdCOM)
- Experience building scalable, low-latency video streaming systems and integrating them with advertising platforms
