Design, build, instrument, automate, and maintain and automate equipment and software infrastructure for battery pack electrical cycling
Investigate test failures to drive product development and test improvement
Work with Battery Cell Engineers, Reliability Scientists, Material Scientists, Quality, and process to generate test plans
Execute pack-level validation testing and debug pack-level and test equipment issues
Analyze, document, and present test results to cross-functional teams and leadership
Build and maintain data pipelines and data visualization tools
Manage and prioritize test setups, test articles, and Technician work
What You’ll Bring
Engineering Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
An appetite for technical problem solving
Proficient with an object-oriented programming (Python, Rust, etc.) required. Experience building data pipelines, visualizations, and with developer tools -e.g., Linux, Docker, Kubernetes preferred
Basic understanding of embedded systems, battery cells, statics, measurement and instrumentation, mechanics of materials, and linear circuits
Experience with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, DAQs, and power supplies), power tools, and machine shop equipment
Experience leading, and driving technical projects to completion, especially when multiple teams’ input and buyoff are required
Ability to develop or experience developing infrastructure for high power battery applications or high voltage systems
Formal or informal experience with one of the following: automotive systems, mechatronic systems, or physical testing of mechanical, thermal, or electrical systems
