• Serve as CEI Senior Project Inspector for key roadway construction projects including interchanges.
• Develop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity
• Provide technical expertise to provide recommendations to keep projects on time and budget
• Assure effective utilization of engineering and inspection personnel to verify quality project delivery.
• Employee may perform contract administrative duties such as field measurements of pay items as well as other Department required documentation
• Work may include participating in Concept Meetings, Field Plan Reviews (Preliminary and/or Final), CPM schedule reviews, project close-out, and other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Support general business development, while ensuring client care and feedback to maintain high quality performance is met.
• Coordinate with the overall Georgia CEI strategy and assist other PMs in their pursuits
• Train and Develop construction personnel and CEI team members.
• Help develop training classes for all construction personnel
• Must have eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in transportation engineering in the construction of highways, bridges and related other related construction inspection.
• Thorough knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in highway construction.
• Three (3) years managerial/supervisory experience. (Project leader or lead worker experience will substitute for managerial/supervisory experience.)
• Extensive knowledge in GDOT Roadway and Bridge construction, engineering policies and procedures
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Construction engineering and management is preferred.
