What to ExpectTesla is looking for a Mechanical Construction Project Manager to work on large scale ground-up Engineering-Procurement-Construction project that requires exceptional talent. Our product portfolio is expanding with never-built-before production lines. The Mechanical Project Manager will lead an internal self-perform group of pipefitters to construct the SEMI production facility. The position is located in Sparks, NV.
What You’ll Do- Lead a team consisting of Project Coordinators, Buyers, Superintendents, and craft
- Promote a safe and quality driven culture, both project and companywide
- Conduct constructability reviews of design packages
- Identify project risks and opportunities and actively manage through-out the project life cycle
- Interface with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and commissioning teams
- Ensure all RFI’s are incorporated into final Record drawings at project close-out
- Ensure Change Control Management is adhered to for all new scope of work
What You’ll Bring- At least 10 years of experience in the Mechanical field and 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager. Previous experience on $25M+ project
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Provide material take offs and estimates from construction drawings
- Read, interpret P&ID’s and Piping Iso’s
- Proficiency in Construction baseline development, change control, cost/schedule performance and variance analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication & presentation skills
- Work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
