In this role you will:
- Assist in federal and state corporate income tax audits.
- Assist in federal and state income tax appeals and litigation.
- Conduct research and prepare analyses related to tax controversy matters.
- Assist in drafting memos and protests related to tax controversy matters.
- Interact with federal and state tax authorities.
- Advise and/or prepare amended tax returns.
- Assist in accounting, reporting, and controls related to controversy risks and resolutions.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Business Taxation, Finance, Accounting, Analytics or Reporting.
Desired Qualifications:
- An active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Attorney License.
- Master’s degree in accounting or Tax or Law Degree.
- 3+ years corporate income tax experience.
- Large corporate income tax return or tax provision experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) skills.
- Longview, Essbase, and/or SmartView experience.
