Job Description

Reporting to Senior Manager, Process Risk and Control Self-Assessment (pRCSA), the Manager supports strategic direction on the FCRM Process Risk programs, procedures, and processes. The Manager is responsible for the FCRM Process Inventory and pRCSA and control testing efforts, and partners with FCRM businesses and ORM teams to complete and maintain the associated tasks and documentation. The Manager will require to interact with stakeholders from first and second lines of defence to ensure all controls associated with processes are tested as per the Corporate standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of the FCRM Control testing efforts.
  • Provide support to 1A in the completion of process Inventory and control testing while ensuring adherence and alignment to enterprise requirements, revising as internal/external changes are identified.
  • Lead the control testing activities, acting as liaison between business area management and the Segment group ORM.
  • Document/refresh control testing process.
  • Review and assess key controls and inherent risk assessment, determine if the control is key/non-key, could be automated and update management of key/significant risks (existing and emerging) and/or any gaps.
  • Work with 1A to establish appropriate remediation activities to address unsatisfactory and requires improvement controls.
  • Act as subject matter expert for discussions pertaining to Process Risk, including enhancement and change management discussions and activities.
  • Act a key point of contact with Executive Process Owners and ORM.
  • Manage control test scheduling.
  • Support the design of remediation activities.
  • Responsible for MERLIN workflow entries as required.
  • Effectively manage ad-hoc projects or tasks of varying complexities within established deadlines

Qualifications/Skills

  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced degree, professional accreditation, and/or 7+ years relevant industry experience
  • Experience in financial services industry, risk management, governance, compliance, process risk, or similar role is preferred.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reporting to executive audiences.
  • Effective stakeholder and partner engagement with a professional approach; ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment and prioritize competing priorities.
  • Experience with RSA Archer/MERLIN and/or AML business knowledge and CAMS certification considered an asset.
