Description
In this role, you will be expected to make real-time decisions based on the day’s major events, curate content, write headlines and push notifications, and communicate directly with our publisher partners. - Select articles for featuring in the Top Stories section of the app, with an emphasis on quality, accuracy, and engagement.- This role may require consistent nights and weekend work.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Deep newsroom experience, with a keen understanding of the information that matters to readers.
  • Strong, nonpartisan editorial judgment and excellent writing skills.
  • Able to make curation decisions independently, and on deadline.
  • Experience with breaking news and filing clear, concise copy quickly, including headlines and push notifications.
  • Comfortable working across teams and incorporating feedback seamlessly into your work.
  • Five years experience working in news.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working across various technical platforms.
  • Ability to approach problems flexibly.
  • Ability to make tough decisions and get buy-in.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $119,200 and $225,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
