Key responsibilities
The role of Assistant Manager will include the following:
- Lead a team of 2-4 professionals on theme-based research and working on data intensive requests, points of view and trend-based documents and ad-hoc pieces of research
- Gain expertise to develop market perspectives, account review deck, market sizing, identifying cross selling opportunities, company profiles, CXO profiles, and management reports for senior partners
- Actively use analytical tools such as PowerBi, MS Forms, Qualtrics, etc. to enable in-depth understanding of C-level transitions, monitor changing career path, and their performance indicators
- Undertake quality check (both qualitative and quantitative) to ensure:
- Output is insightful and as per expectation of onsite teams
- Delivering within agreed timelines
- Manage/handle multiple requests at a time and guide team members accordingly
- Measure, monitor and improve client service by guiding team members and driving excellence in service delivery
- Develop excellent relationships with global stakeholders and be responsible for a high degree of client satisfaction with engagement process and work products
- Direct the progress of engagement work, inform supervisors of the engagement status, and manage staff performance
- Conduct timely performance reviews off Staff and Senior employees and help in developing and guiding staff and other junior professionals by providing effective performance feedback/training and ensuring that team responsibilities are consistent with skills and developmental goals.
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience of having worked in the following types of firms and the following types of service offerings:
- Experience of having worked in a similar research organization, like the Big 4 or financial analytics firms, or a management consulting firm OR large KPO with exposure in strategy, corporate finance, business development
- Required understanding of business development including:
- Strong communication and business writing skills
- Good understanding of corporate transactions and funding mechanisms
- Ability to determine risks and opportunity areas, assess findings and communicate insights
- Experience in interacting with senior management of clients
- Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong excel, written, and verbal communication skills with experience in developing final presentations
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Master’s degree OR MBA
- 9+ years of work experience in research firms, Big 4s, consulting firms, Investment Banking, etc.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience in Go to market documents, company and/or industry research documents including creating management reports and company profiles
