Essential ResponsibilitiesResearch and development activities may also include cross modality projects (LAFOV PET/CT, PET/MR, CZT SPECT/CT and C13 hyperpolarization) and initiatives to help grow and drive our approach to clinical collaboration.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise for data analytics and solution design.
- Work with an inter-disciplinary GE HealthCare team to translate promising prototypes into product readiness and lead technical/clinical risk retirement towards new product introduction.
- Conduct original research resulting in patent applications, scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at international conferences.
- Develop new features as prototypes and deploy to external collaborators following GE HealthCare design controls processes.
- Effectively communicate technical analyses, results, and ideas to GE HealthCare leaders.
- Identify industry and academic trends in the areas of precision medicine relevant to GE HealthCare.
- Serve as GE HealthCare technical lead on collaborative projects with academic partners on LAFOV PET/CT and PET/MR, hyperpolarization, CZT SPECT/CT and related fields to generate results that are in alignment with GE HealthCare strategic goals.
- Leverage Essen University as an international reference site.
- Stay abreast of advancements in the field and identify opportunities for technological and methodological innovations.
- Optional: Combine knowledge of MRI/MRS for ultrafast C13 hyperpolarized imaging/spectroscopy, engineering, and clinical needs to design and develop new MR capabilities.
- Optional: Evaluate advanced image reconstruction methods in SPECT/CT
